DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Atlanta Falcons safety Keanu Neal to a one-year, $5 million deal, according to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

Neal spent the first five years of his career under Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn in Atlanta after getting picked in the first round of the 2016 draft.

After a Pro Bowl season in 2017, Neal has missed a lot of time on the field over the past three seasons. In 2018, he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and appeared in only one game that season. In 2019, the Florida alum tore his Achilles in his left foot. The 25-year-old did, however, play in 15 games last season.

Neal's signing is a welcome addition for a Cowboys secondary that struggled mightily last year. Cowboys safety Xavier Woods remains a free agent, and Dallas still has Donovan Wilson and Darian Thompson on the roster.
