DALLAS (105.3 the Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys reportedly lost a veteran linebacker presence on Monday afternoon, when linebacker Joe Thomas agreed to terms on a 1-year $2 million deal with the Houston Texans.
ESPN's Todd Archer was first to report the agreement between Thomas and the Texans.
Thomas, who spent the last three seasons in Dallas, played in 40 games, starting six, and making 95 tackles with one forced fumbles.
Thomas was also a key member of the Dallas special teams unit, in addition to his platoon work at the linebacker spot.
Before his time in Dallas, Thomas spent four years with the Green Bay Packers, where he played in 44 games, starting eight of those games.
