Reports: Cowboys DE Randy Gregory Signs One-year Extension

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys and defensive end Randy Gregory came to an agreement on a one-year extension on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

The deal will keep Gregory in Dallas through the 2021 season, and gives him a $200,000 signing bonus. Gregory will reportedly be able to make up to $2.1 million next season if he hits all of the incentives on his deal.

Gregory was conditionally reinstated by the NFL on September 4th after missing more than a year and 191 days following an indefinite suspension by the league for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Gregory, who will not be allowed to play the first six weeks of the season, is eligible to begin practicing with the team on Oct. 5. He'll be eligible to play in games following the team's game on Oct. 19.

In 28 games with Dallas over his 5-year career, Gregory has 7 sacks, 45 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 23 hits on the quarterback.

The Cowboys kick off the 2020 in Los Angeles this Sunday against the Rams on Sunday Night Football.
