Shan & RJ weren't buying what Jerry Jones was selling this time
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was in salesman mode when he visited with Shan and RJ to discuss the team's disappointing loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. However, Shan, RJ and Bobby admitted on Wednesday's show that they weren't buying what Jones was selling this time around.
Jones said the blowout loss, which included the Saints scoring six touchdowns on their first six possessions didn't remind him of the Cowboys' playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers last season, which saw Green Bay lead 21-0 at one point in the first half on their way to a 48-32 route at AT&T Stadium.
Jones also said defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer didn't need to make adjustments at halftime despite the Saints continuing to score at will, and he wasn't ready to give practice squad running back Dalvin Cook an opportunity despite the team's running game struggles.
