The Cowboys are placing the fifth-year option on Micah Parsons as a defensive end, not a linebacker, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
The move saves the Cowboys $2.7 million in salary cap space as Parsons will earn $21.32 million in the final year of his contract as a defensive end instead of the $24 million linebacker salary.
The Cowboys' maneuver could result in a grievance filed by Parsons' agent David Mulugheta. Shan, RJ and Bobby discussed the potential of that happening on Wednesday's show.
