The Dallas Cowboys have interviewed three candidates to be their next head coach: Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Former Jets head coach Robert Saleh, and Seahawks assistant coach Leslie Frazier. As of this writing, no other interviews have been scheduled. But will there be at least one more?
Jane Slater of the NFL Network reported last week that Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was planning on having former tight end Jason Witten join Mike McCarthy's staff and make him "an heir apparent of sorts." Fast forward a few days, and McCarthy's gone and we haven't heard any more news about Witten.
Could Jones be pushing the idea of Witten being on staff to the coaches they've interviewed?
The GBag Nation discussed that on Monday's show and agreed that if Jones was indeed doing that then he might as well name Witten head coach right now instead of two or three years from now.
