Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on who starts while Dak Prescott remains out, NFL Trade Deadline

As he does each Monday, Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece to react to Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Jones spoke about the team's quarterback situation behind Dak Prescott, who is reportedly expected to miss multiple weeks. While the Cowboys are expected to turn to Cooper Rush, Jones didn't immediately commit to him starting in place of Prescott.

"We'll cross that decision when the time comes," Jones told the K&C Masterpiece on 105.3 The Fan. "Cooper did a great job stepping in yesterday, which he's done before... These guys have a lot of confidence in Cooper. At the same time, we know we've got a young quarterback in Trey that did some good things as the preseason proceeded. But we feel good that we've got two good backup quarterbacks there if we need to address that."

Jones also weighed in on the team's plans ahead of Tuesday's 3 p.m. CT NFL Trade Deadline, Ezekiel Elliott being disciplined, and much more.
