Stephen Jones gives Cowboys' injury updates ahead of Thanksgiving game vs. Giants

Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece following his team's surprising 34-26 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday despite Dallas being without several key players.

Dallas was without offensive linemen Tyler Smith and Zack Martin, tight end Jake Ferguson, wide receiver Branding Cooks, cornerback Trevon Diggs, quarterback Dak Prescott and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.

Jones said Monday that Ferguson and Martin will be hard-pressed to play due to the quick turnaround before the Thanksgiving game against the New York Giants, but Diggs, Smith and Cooks all have a shot to play.

"We're optimistic that we'll continue to get guys back. I think Cooks will be a player for us (on Thanksgiving). I think Tyler Smith's going to be a player for us. I think Diggs has a chance to be a player for us," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "Ferguson, and Martin, we'll just have to see. A little more of a long-shot for them to play."

Jones also revealed that reserve left tackle Asim Richards was dealing with a high-ankle sprain after rotating with Tyler Guyton on Sunday.
