DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece following his team's Week 8 win over the Vikings. Jones discussed several things with the guys, including the trade deadline, the latest on Dak Prescott's calf injury, and more.
See some of the highlights below.
On the trade deadline:
"Our phone lines are open. I will say this, we really like our football team, and we all know how quickly (things can change). ... You can think you've got some depth at one point, and the next minute you're up against the wall," Jones said. "If the right situation came along, we felt like it was worth it to maybe give up a little in one area to really improve ourselves in an area that we felt like it would make a difference, then we're open to that.
"Obviously, with what we've got coming back off the injured list, the way guys have been stepping up. At the end of the day, you need them all. So, it would have to be something really significant to make us make a move."

On Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs and Tyron Smith's injuries:
"Obviously, we were optimistic about Dak last week, (and we're) even more optimistic about him this week," Jones said. "Certainly, it's early on everybody else. As you know, we got back early this morning after playing late last night. We'll see how the injury reports go on those guys. But we're very optimistic about Dak. The world got to see firsthand how he was moving around last night, and (we) feel good about it."
Is Tyron Smith doing well?
"Yes, he's doing well, but it's too early to tell. They weren't due in till about 10:30 or 11, so we'll just have to see. I don't want to be premature on commenting on him. But we feel good that he doesn't have anything that's significant, but we won't know that till later in the day."
