Stephen Jones has faith in Cowboys' turnaround

Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece to break down the team's loss to the 49ers on Sunday night. He also gave his overall thoughts on how quarterback Dak Prescott has played this season, Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland's potential returns, if he had any thoughts on Trevon Diggs's postgame spat with WFAA reporter Mike Leslie, and more.

Here are some of the highlights:

Have you considered that this team just isn't good enough?

“No. This team is made up of a lot of the same players that won 12 games the last three seasons. Right now we’re just going through adversity. We’ve had more than our share of injuries it feels like this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball. … I think we have really good football players. At times, we’ve had spurts when we’ve played well, and obviously, at times we’re not playing well.”

Do you have optimism for Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland returning this week?

"It's just too early to tell for this week. They're out there working as we speak."

How do you view Dak Prescott's play so far this season?

"Dak's as fierce a competitor as there is. So when you're having a season you're having right now when we're not playing at the level where we felt like we can play then all competitors push. He's pushing to make plays. I thought he did a good job in the fourth quarter bringing us back last night. There's no doubt in my mind he's going to keep this group together and they're going to keep working to get better and better each week. ... Dak knows what it takes to win in this league. ... And right now, we're just going through some adversity."
