DALLAS (105.3 the Fan) - According to team owner Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys could be without one of their top offensive linemen - Tyron Smith - for their big Sunday matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

During his weekly appearance on Shan & RJ on Tuesday morning, Jones was asked about Smith's status for Sunday's game, noting that, at best, Smith is 'iffy' for the game.

“If he’s available, it would be iffy," Jones said. "But he could be. Certainly, he’s a very valuable part of this year... This morning, you need to think about him playing. If he doesn’t, we’re well-prepared.”

'Well-prepared' might be a bit of a stretch, but fortunately for Dallas, the rest of the offensive line will be relatively intact on Sunday night.

Should Smith miss Sunday against the 49ers, it will be his third-straight missed game. Smith has played in just 17 of a possible 50 regular season games from 2020-2022.

In place of Smith, Chuma Edoga would likely be in line for another start on Sunday.

But while Edoga was serviceable vs. New England, the 49ers are a much different animal with Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead and company coming to town.

Dallas and San Francisco are set for a 7:20 pm Sunday Night Football kick off on NBC.
