DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - When the Cowboys were preparing to head to the Nation's Capital two weeks ago, they were tipped off by the Seattle Seahawks that the heated benches on the visiting sideline of FedEx Field didn't work. With temperatures forecasted to be in the mid-to-high-40s during the game, the Cowboys decided it was best to rent their own benches and had them delivered prior to their road game against the Washington Football Team.
The Cowboys took a little bit of heat for the move, notably by the Washington media, but the story just added more fuel to the fire between the two storied franchises.
Fast forward to this week, and the Washington Football Team suddenly has new heated benches of their own.
According to Mitchell Tischler, Washington rented the benches from the same company the Cowboys used, and they'll have them for their final three road games. One of which happens to be in a roof-enclosed AT&T Stadium this Sunday night.
Washington will get its first opportunity to use the benches Tuesday night in Philadelphia, where it's unknown if the heat setting on the visiting benches works or not.
