Doncic, Porzingis sitting out vs Thunder

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Mavericks will be without their two stars when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road Thursday.

According to the NBA's latest injury report, Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are listed with "injury recovery" designations. Doncic is listed with a right ankle injury, while Porzingis is resting his right knee.

The 22-year-old Doncic has only missed two games this season. One due to a left quad contusion early in the season, and the final game before the All-Star break with lower back tightness. At the All-Star break last season, Doncic had missed 11 of the team's 55 games, so he's been a lot more durable this year.

As for Porzingis, this will be his 13th missed game of the season. He missed the first nine games of the season as he continued to recover from offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He missed another three games with back lower back tightness.

Without their two stars, Dallas will lean on Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. to carry the load against a Thunder-squad who hasn't played since their 107-102 win over the Spurs on March 4.
