DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Los Angeles Lakers star big man Anthony Davis plans to make his long-awaited return from injury on Thursday night against the Dallas Mavericks, Davis told reporters on Wednesday.
Davis has been out since a Valentines Day loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center, after being diagnosed with a calf strain and Achilles tendinosis.
In order to ease Davis back into game shape and back into the lineup, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters on Monday that upon his return, that Davis would only see the floor for approximately 15 minutes of action.
Before the injury, Davis was averaging 22.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
The Lakers have also been without superstar LeBron James as of late and have struggled, going 7-10 over the last month.
The Mavs, however, have also struggled in recent days, losing four out of their previous five outings.
