The Mavericks were without their two superstars at Friday's practice, as Luka Doncic wasn't present due to a left thigh strain and Kyrie Irving missed due to personal reasons.
Coach Jason Kidd said Doncic will not travel with the team to Memphis for their game against the Grizzlies on Saturday night.
According to Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News, Kidd said the team is listing Doncic as "day to day" after an MRI on the guard's leg came back clean.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that there's no timeline for when Doncic will be back on the court, but he'll return "as soon as discomfort allows him."
Doncic exited in the third quarter of Dallas' 113-106 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday night after the injury prevented him from playing at his traditional superstar level in his 28 minutes of action.
Also missing Friday was Doncic's All-Star backcourt mate, Kyrie Irving. According to Caplan, Kidd said Irving wasn't at the team's practice facility due to personal reasons, describing it as an "excused absence."
Kidd went on to say that the team is "hopeful" that Irving will join them in Memphis ahead of Saturday's game.
