DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Mavericks are gearing up for more fans to attend home playoff games at the American Airlines Center.

Team owner Mark Cuban said Thursday on Shan and RJ on 105.3 The Fan that they have increased arena capacity to 12,000 fans per game and hope to push that number up to 15,000 if they can "get some modifications done to the arena."

The Mavs initially allowed around 1,500 fans to attend their home games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but have since expanded that number to around 4,000 fans per game. The AAC has a seating capacity of 20,000 for basketball games.

Cuban mentioned in the interview that single-game tickets for the Mavs series vs the Clippers are already on-sale, but season ticket holders have first priority to buy tickets, and the remaining tickets will be released to the general public on May 22, according to an email the team sent to their Club Maverick members.

The first home game of the series (Game 3) will take place on Friday, April 27 at 8:30 CT, and the second game (Game 4) is set for Sunday, April 29 at 8:30 CT. Should their be a third home game (Game 6), it will take place on Friday, June 4 at a time to be announced.
