Bobby Marks on Luka Doncic trade: 'I don't know if the fan base will ever forgive' the Mavericks
Luka Doncic is set to make his long-awaited return to the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night in front of what is likely to be a raucous crowd.
With the game nearing, animosity towards the Mavericks' organization is still sky-high in DFW over the trade and the unequal value they got in return for the generational talent.
ESPN's Bobby Marks didn't help to make fans feel any better when he recently dropped an article on what the other 28 teams could have offered Dallas in a trade for Doncic.
For example, Marks wrote that Dallas should have received Anthony Davis and the 2029 unprotected first-round pick they got for Doncic, in addition to guard Austin Reaves, an additional 2029 unprotected first-round pick, a 2030 first-round pick swap, and a 2031 unprotected first-round pick. Dallas also got Max Christie in the trade but Marks omitted him from his proposal.
Marks joined Shan & RJ on Tuesday's show to discuss why he isn't sure fans will ever be able to forgive the organization, his article, and Doncic's pending return on Wednesday night.
