105.3 The Fan's top supporter of the Dallas Mavericks, Mike Bacsik, shared his feelings about Wednesday night's debacle at the American Airlines Center which included the Mavs blowing a 16-point lead, Luka Doncic asking for a fan to be ejected, and a testy interaction between the superstar and ESPN's Tim MacMahon after the game about the incident.
We should note that MacMahon clarified his reporting on Thursday afternoon, writing on X (formally Twitter) that the Suns' fan Doncic asked to be ejected for badgering him "was not actually ejected," and "exited voluntarily after being approached by an arena staffer."
While Bacsik is a strong supporter of Doncic, he explained why the guard is making it tough on fans to stand by him because of his constant complaints to officials.
"I love Luka in general. I love watching his game. A lot of it. But then he does things that make you dislike him so much. It's getting tough to like Luka," Bacsik said. "And he's a great player. He's arguably the best offensive player in the game. Is he perfect? No, he's not perfect. But he's damn close to perfect offensively. He's not close to perfect as a player. He's far from being a team leader. And it's just getting frustrating."
