DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Mavericks dream scenario in the 2021 offseason would include Giannis Antetokounmpo joining forces with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis to form a title contender for the next decade.

Up to this point in time, not many in the basketball world have been willing to go to on a limb to say the Greek Freak will leave after the 2021 season. Brian Scalabrine, however, isn't one of them.

The Radio.com Sports insider says Mavericks fans should be rooting on the (Mavericks rival) Miami Heat in their playoff series vs the Milwaukee Bucks because a second round exit could mean Antetokounmpo is one step closer to walking out the door.

"Of all the guys, I think he would do it (come to Dallas). To leave a team, that's a hard thing to do, especially if you're a guy like him. Just think about Dirk Nowitzki, he was Dallas all the way, (and) it seems like Gianiss is all the way (with Milwaukee). Except that if they lose to Miami .... this is an interesting offseason ... they offer him a Super-Max (5-year max extension) ... he turns it down, it does open up the possibility. I'm not thinking there's no chance, I know a lot of people would say that. I think there is a chance that he could end up (in Dallas).

Scalabrine then wondered if the trio (Doncic, Porzingis and Gianiss) would want to form a European powerhouse in Dallas.

"I wonder, I don't know this, but this is my guess. I played overseas, and people overseas believe that basketball there is better. The way that they train young kids is better. I wonder if they'll sort of do this 'hey, it would be really interesting to do this European thing. We all come together and have three guys not from America and us being the best team winning championships,'" Scal said.

105.3 The Fan had dreamed about the potential of Antekounmpo leaving Milwaukee in the past but never thought there was a chance it would happen.

"It's not zero. I think you have just as good a chance as anyone else. (Whether that be) Los Angeles (Clippers or Lakers), Miami, or any of the other favorite teams. I think the Dallas Mavericks, you look at their cap situation, with a superstar and (Porzingis). ... I'm telling you right now it's not zero."
