The Mavericks may have brought in two centers on draft night, but that's not stopping them from attempting to trade for a frontline center in the Suns' Deandre Ayton.
According to Marc Stein, Dallas and Phoenix held advanced discussions on a trade that would have sent Ayton to Dallas in exchange for Tim Hardaway Jr., Richaun Holmes and JaVale McGee. However, the Suns balked at McGee's inclusion in the deal and talks stalled.
Stein reports that trade talks could be re-ignited, but what kind of deal would be amendable to both sides? The K&C Masterpiece recently discussed what they'd be comfortable with in a potential Ayton swap.
