Signed Luka Doncic rookie card sells for record-setting $4.6 million


If you need any more proof that Luka Doncic is one of the most respected players in the NBA, look no further than this past weekend when one his rookie cards sold for a record-setting amount.

According to the Dallas Morning News, collector Nick Fiorella bought a signed rookie card from the Mavericks star for a staggering $4.6 million! The transaction marked the highest price ever for a single basketball card, and comes just a couple of weeks after another card of Doncic’s, a limited edition Panini Gold Prizm card, sold for $799,500.

This season, Luka is averaging 28.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 9 assists while shooting career-best percentages from the field (47.5%), three (35.1%) and the foul line (75.9%) through 31 games.
