DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Tampa Bay Lightning star forward Steven Stamkos' return to the lineup was short-lived in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
Stamkos made a triumphant return to the ice after not appearing in a game since February and scored a goal to put Tampa Bay up 2-0 in a game they ended up winning 5-2. However, Stamkos skated off at the end of his fifth and final shift in the first period and was not on the bench for the start of the second. He returned to the bench and took a few twirls to test out the injury but did not return.
Lightning coach Jon Cooper ruled him out for Friday night's Game 4, but isn't ruling him out for the rest of the series.
As for the Stars, coach Rick Bowness says forward Blake Comeau will be a game-time decision for Game 4 .Comeau left Game 2 after taking a big hit from Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh. He didn't play in Game 3.
Goaltender Ben Bishop, center Radek Faksa and defenseman Stephen Jones are still unfit to play, Bowness said.
