DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Stars are set to be without two of their most important pieces moving forward, as goalie Ben Bishop and forward Alexander Radulov will each miss the remainder of the regular season due to injury, the team announced.
Bishop, who underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in October, last suited up for the Stars in a 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference quarterfinals on August 31.
"It has been determined that Bishop will not return to play this season," the release stated, "allowing him time to continue his rehabilitation and return to full health for the 2021-22 season."
Radulov, meanwhile, has not played since a March 18 loss to the Detroit Red Wings, after suffering a lower body injury.
"Radulov will require surgery to repair a core muscle injury," the Stars said in the release. "The surgery will force him to miss the remainder of the season. He is expected to be fully recovered for the 2021-22 season."
The Stars currently sit at 15-14-12 overall on the regular season, and are 6th in the NHL's Central Division.
