DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - With their playoff hopes fading, the Dallas Stars appear to be getting a boost to their lineup for the final five games of the regular season.
The Stars activated center Tyler Seguin off of the injured reserve list and have labeled him as a game-time decision for tonight's game vs Florida.
Seguin has missed the first 51 games of the season after undergoing offseason hip surgery to address a torn labrum. He hasn't appeared in a game since the Stars lost Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals to the Lightning over seven months ago.
The Stars are three points behind the Nashville Predators for the final playoff spot in the Central Division. Dallas has five games remaining, while the Predators have just four games left to play. However, Nashville holds the tie-breaker over the Stars.
Dallas will need to actually score some goals in order to win some games, as they haven't put a puck in the net in the last 155 minutes+ of game action. They can only hope that their leading scorer from last season is arriving just in time to help rescue them.
