DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - With the Stars off to a solid start this season, their star center continues to work towards an eventual return to the ice.
Stars center Tyler Seguin underwent surgery on his right hip on Nov. 2 and was given a five-month recovery timeline.
Seguin joined the GBag Nation on Tuesday to discuss how his recovery is going and when we might see him back on the ice this season?
"I don't know if there is a specific date, but my goal is to get (back) before playoffs. I want to get a few games in, at least, to get the body and the mind right on the ice. Especially before games truly mean something, and that's the playoffs. So, that's the goal."
Should Seguin return exactly five months after his surgery (April 3), the Stars would have 20 games remaining in their shortened 56-game season.
Dallas is just two points out of first place in the Central Division through six games.
