Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - Tight End Eric Ebron is officially a Pittsburgh Steeler. The team announced Monday that Ebron has signed the 2-year contract that was worked out ten days earlier. The contract is worth $12 million dollars and includes a $5 million signing bonus.
Ebron had to pass his physical for the deal to be finalized. The former Indianapolis Colt ended last season on injured reserve as he underwent surgery for undisclosed injuries to both ankles in early December. Ebron has disputed reports that he "quit" on the Colts, saying the team wanted him to play hurt. In 11 games Ebron caught 31 passes, three for touchdowns. In 2018, he finished with 66 receptions and 13 touchdowns.
