92.9 The Game Braves Insider Joe Patrick joined Dukes & Bell Friday to talk about the Braves pitching woes, whether with no Ozzie Albies or Ronald Acuña Jr. should we be worried about the Braves' offense, and has AJ Minter finally becoming the bullpen weapon we thought he could be?

Patrick talked about if it’s time to worry about the mounting Braves injuries.

“I think in the short term you have every right to be worried. This is a team right now that is trying to grab a side of the cliff, keep yourself alive,” Patrick said. “Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuña Jr. they both have wrist injuries. What worries me about wrist injuries is how it’s going to affect those guys when they come back. Maybe it doesn’t affect them at all. Maybe they come back and they’re healthier than they were before, feeling better than they were before and they start performing better.

"But sometimes having a wrist injury for a hitter, it can mess with your timing, the actual speed you can swing the bat through the zone. So there are lots of little nuances here so you hope these guys can come back healthy.”
