Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has a shoulder sprain that could keep him out of Saturday's potential division and bye-clinching game against the Cowboys, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter reports Hurts' agent says they do not believe the injury is long-term and NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark reports he was told "there is no doubt" that Hurts will be ready for the playoffs. A source tells Clark, "X-rays were negative. Nothing was broken, and an MRI diagnosed a sprained right shoulder."
Hurts was injured on a run late in the third quarter of Sunday's game when Bears defensive end Trevin Gipson drove him to the ground and landed on his shoulder. Hurts got up wincing after the play, but did not come out of the game, and in fact threw a completion to DeVonta Smith on the very next play.

Hurts, 24, is having, arguably, the greatest individual season in Eagles history. Through 14 games, Hurts has led Philadelphia to an NFL best 13-1 record while throwing for 3,472 yards and 22 touchdowns, while rushing for another 747 and 13 touchdowns. He has thrown just five interceptions, as well. His 35 total touchdowns are tied with Randall Cunningham for most in franchise history.
Hurts is one rushing touchdown behind tying Cam Newton's NFL single-season record for a QB with 14 and he now leads all players in rushing TDs over the last two seasons with 23.
Eagles Twitter began to speculate the injury on Monday afternoon went the line for Saturday's game went from Cowboys -1 to Cowboys -3 and Hurts went from the MVP favorite to the runner up choice behind Patrick Mahomes.
If there is any good news about the situation, though, it's this: NBC Sports' John Clark Tweeted that "there is no doubt Jalen Hurts will be ready for the playoffs, as I’m told the sprained shoulder is not considered serious," and that a source told him "X-rays were negative. Nothing was broken, and an MRI diagnosed a sprained right shoulder."
Philadelphia will now turn to 26-year-old backup Gardner Minshew, who went 1-1 as a starter last season with the Eagles, throwing for 428 yards, four touchdowns, and just one interception in those two starts.
