Kyler Murray finally got his big pay day.

The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly reached an agreement with Murray on a five-year, $230.5 million contract, with $160 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal, which begins in 2023, makes Murray the second highest-paid quarterback on an annual average, trailing just Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers at $50 million annually.

It puts him just ahead of Deshaun Watson’s $230 million deal with the Cleveland Browns, although his contract is fully guaranteed.

Murray and the Cardinals had been engaged in a bit of an offseason standoff regarding his contract, which led to rampant speculation when the former No. 1 overall pick scrubbed all references to the Cardinals on his social media page.

Murray eventually restored his social media pages and eventually showed up to the team’s voluntary OTAs at the beginning of June, a sign things were progressing.

In three seasons, Murray has made the Pro Bowl twice, was the AP Rookie of the Year in 2019 and has thrown for at least 20 touchdowns and 3,700 yards each year. He has also rushed for a total of 20 touchdowns.
