When WWE superstar Raquel Rodriguez lost to then-Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey on May 13, many folks dubbed Rodriguez a breakout, overnight success.
However, the truth for Rodriguez is far different as the 6-foot-tall Texan worked for many years (and overcame many doubts) while working her way through the WWE Performance Center and NXT on the way to her Smackdown debut.
Rodriguez will be back in the Metroplex on Friday for Smackdown at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth and chatted with The K&C Masterpiece about the mental prep and pain that comes along with a ladder match, challenging for the Smackdown Women’s Title, being back in Texas and tall women dating tall men.
