George Kittle became one limousine ridin’, jet-flyin’ son of a gun when he inked a new five-year, $75million contract with the San Francisco 49ers last week.
So, what better way to celebrate the big signing than with the Nature Boy himself?
Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair crashed Kittle’s interview on 95.7 The Game’s “The Morning Show” on Wednesday to congratulate the 49ers tight end and big-time wrestling fan.
“This is Nature Boy Ric Flair, congratulations George Kittle,” Flair said. “You’re limousine ridin’ and jet flyin’ WOOO!”
Kittle seemed to not be totally sure what was going on and thanked the guys for getting Flair to do that – until he realized he was live on the air with Flair himself.
“Are you kidding me?” a star-struck Kittle asked. “That’s awesome.”
The hosts allowed Kittle to ask Flair anything he wished, but the Niners star was speechless.
“Oh my goodness, you guys put me on the spot with Ric Flair? That’s incredible,” Kittle said.
Kittle is a well-known wrestling fan and is often caught mic’d up on the sidelines bellowing Flair’s trademark “WOOOOO,” which he had talked about earlier in the interview.
“Those are one-take wonders,” he said of his sideline enthusiasm. “Totally lucky. They kinda happen from time to time. Definitely get some stuff from wrestling world, have some fun with that, whatever is on my mind I speak into existence.”
Kittle even spoke about power bombing his quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, one day.
“It’s a dream of mine,” he said. “Hopefully it comes true in a couple of years.”
While Kittle did not ask Flair for any advice on pulling that off, the two spoke about Wrestlemania, Iowa football and more, with the Nature Boy leaving Kittle with an important piece of advice on being rich.
“Stay married, George,” Flair said. “Stay married and you can limousine ride and jet fly forever.”
