Saquon Barkley’s time with the Giants has reportedly come to an end.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Eagles have signed the star running back to a three-year, $37.76 million contract that can become as much as $46.75 million. His AAV could get high enough to where he would be the second-highest paid running back per year in NFL history.
Barkley, formerly a lifelong Giant, is a two-time Pro Bowler and has been the team’s most dynamic offensive weapon in recent years. Big Blue had a chance to trade Barkley last season, or place the franchise tag on him again this offseason, but instead have let him go to a division rival.
Injuries once again limited Barkley last season, playing in 14 games and rushing for 962 yards and six touchdowns after running for 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022, his second Pro Bowl season.
