The Panthers Hall of Honor Receiver turned NFL Network analyst joined The Clubhouse to discuss some of the things he learned from his sit-downs with DJ Moore and Christian McCaffrey, and how he thinks Matt Rhule is going to turn this program around for the better.

When it came to his thoughts on why Matt Rhule is going to be good for the Panthers Steve stated:

"Matt Rhule has taken this team to the dentist. He's gotten rid of the stuff that has slowed this team down, and I'm not talking about the players I'm talking about stuff systematically. He's asking scouts in the pro and college department what do you see as a Carolina Panther, what qualities do you want, and he's asking the whole organization what is the standard of the Carolina Panthers."

Steve also discussed his sit-down chats with CMC and DJ Moore as he told Kyle that despite the success Christian has had he wants to see Christian take another step. Steve told Kyle he thinks that DJ has done an exceptional job, but can do better if he wants to meet the standard of NFC South WR's such as Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin. Steve also told us he's not hating on DJ Moore as he has so much talent and he doesn't want to see him check in and out of games, and he wants to see the Panthers do well.
