Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia left no doubt about who would be crowned the MVP of the American League Championship Series after he blasted two more home runs in Texas' 11-4 Game 7 win over the Astros on Monday night at Minute Maid Park.
Garcia was a thorn in the Astros' sides for the entire ALCS, setting MLB postseason records en route to winning the series MVP.
Garcia had four hits, two of which were solo home runs, giving him five home runs in the ALCS. He had five RBI, to bring him to grand total of 15 RBI in the series.
Garcia has now homered in four straight games, tying a Rangers playoff record set by Juan Gonzalez, who homered in four consecutive games in the 1996 ALDS, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Additionally, Garcia became the first player in MLB postseason history to have at least one RBI in six straight games in a single series. And Garcia's 15 RBI in the series broke an MLB postseason record set by former Ranger Nelson Cruz in the 2011 ALCS (13).
