The Texas Rangers are still without a closer and the one they had last year appears to be off the board.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports, the Los Angeles Dodgers continued their money-whipping ways by reaching a "tentative agreement" with reliever Kirby Yates on Tuesday. News of the deal comes just one day after the Dodgers signed one of the other top free-agent closers, Tanner Scott, to a four-year, $72 million deal.
