Texas Rangers announce 2025 regular season schedule
DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Texas Rangers unveiled their schedule for the 2025 season on Thursday.
The Rangers will host the Boston Red Sox on Opening Day at Globe Life Field on Thursday, March 27. They'll host Boston for a four-game series before heading on the road to take on Elly de la Cruz and the Cincinnati Reds.
Under baseball's new-ish scheduling format, which began in 2023, the Rangers will play at least one series against every opponent, regardless of league.
The schedule includes the Rangers playing host to 8 National League clubs in 2025 after playing them on the road this season. Those clubs are Arizona (natural rival), Atlanta, Colorado, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and St. Louis.
They will make road visits to Arizona (natural rival), Cincinnati, the New York Mets, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, Washington and the Chicago Cubs after hosting those teams at Globe Life Field this season.
As a result of the changes, the Rangers will only play their AL West rivals 13 times, down from the previous average of 19 games. The schedule includes one additional home game against the Houston Astros and Las Vegas (Sacramento) Athletics and one additional road game at the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels.
