The Texas Rangers aren't quite ready to say they plan to buy or sell before the July 30 MLB Trade Deadline, but this week will determine which path they choose to take.
Despite the Rangers being five games under .500 at 47-52, the club is just five games back from the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners for the AL West lead with eight games to play until the deadline.
During his weekly visit on the GBag Nation on 105.3 The Fan, Rangers general manager Chris Young spoke about why it's important to know their path well ahead of the deadline, when certain players like Josh Jung and Evan Carter could return, which area of the roster could use an upgrade should the club become a buyer, and much more.
