Despite the Rangers' offense scoring eight runs in Sunday's win over the Mariners, which tied for the second-largest scoring output the club has had this season, Rangers' president of baseball operations, Chris Young, decided that it was time to make more changes to the offense.
According to multiple reports, Texas fired offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker and placed outfielder Leody Taveras on waivers.
Ecker was in his fourth season as the Rangers' offensive coordinator, including the club's first World Series championship in 2023.
Taveras is one of several Rangers who are struggling at the plate this season, hitting .241/.259/.342 over 82 plate appearances.
