DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Rangers shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa isn't too pleased after the first set of All-Star voting totals were released on Monday.

"Just saw the top ten in all star votes. What a joke," the 26 year old said on Twitter.

In the first batch of results that were released, Kiner-Falefa wasn't among the top-10 vote-getters at his position despite leading all American League shortstops with 78 hits and 15 stolen bases. The 2020 Gold Glove winner (at third base) is third among shortstops in batting average (.294) and RBI (26).

Xander Bogaerts (31 percent), Bo Bichette (15 percent), Tim Anderson (11 percent), Carlos Correa (10 percent) and Adalberto Mondesí (8 percent) are the top-5 shortstops. José Iglesias, Gleyber Torres, Joey Wendel, Freddy Galvis and Elvis Andrus round out the top-10.

The good news for the Rangers is that outfielder Adolis García has the fourth-most votes among A.L. outfielders.

The top three vote-getters at each position, along with the top nine outfielders selected in each league, advances to the second phase of voting to determine starters for the All-Star Game at Coors Field in Denver.

MLB Network will announce the final results of Phase 1 on Sunday, June 27 at 11 a.m. CT. Then Phase 2 lasts four days, until July 1 at 1 p.m. CT.
