DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Rangers have optioned second baseman Nick Solak to Triple-A Round Rock and have promoted outfielder Curtis Terry ahead of their series with the Houston Astros.
Terry will be in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for the series opener Friday night in Houston.

Solak, 26, was hot out of the gates, carrying an OPS north of .900 into early May. But he's struggled mightily at the plate over his past 255 plate appearances, hitting just .190/.256/.273.
