DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The MLB trade deadline is looming, and it seems that the Texas Rangers are looking to make most out of it.

Heading into the weekend, multiple reports had surfaced that the Rangers were looking to trade starting pitcher Lance Lynn, who is 4-1 this season with a 1.93 ERA in eight starts.

Now, it appears that the likelihood of a deal is increasing, per a report from Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

According to various reports throughout the week, teams such as the Dodgers, Twins, Padres, White Sox and Blue Jays are interested in acquiring the 33-year-old.

As for himself, Lynn would prefer to stick around in Arlington, though as a veteran, he is well aware of how the business works.

“I don’t want to leave something unfinished,” Lynn said to the media following the Rangers 7-4 loss to the Dodgers. “But I also understand the business of baseball and what it’s going to be. And I understand that if you can get prospects with high upside, I understand that. I’m not stupid. I am 33 years old and I’ve been around for a minute.”

In addition to Lynn, the Rangers are also reportedly looking at offers for outfielder Joey Gallo, who has been the Rangers biggest home run threat for the last couple of seasons.

Per Passan's report, the price on both players is expected to be quite expensive, and both would likely be heading to a contending team if a deal is made.

The trade deadline will pass at 3 p.m. CT on Monday, August 31st.
