Jung was slashing .308./.366/.910 with 10 home runs and 40 RBI this season with the RoughRiders.
Jung, the Rangers' No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, is the first among the club's upper echelon of prospects to be promoted to the Triple-A club, as Cole Winn (No.3), Justin Foscue (No. 4), Sam Huff (No.5), and Josh H. Smith (No. 6) are all currently playing in Frisco.
The club's top prospect, 2021 No. 2 overall pick Jack Leiter, will join the club in spring training after working out at Vanderbilt this fall.
The Rangers selected the 23-year-old Jung out of Texas Tech with the eighth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
