The Texas Rangers have agreed to a two-year, $22 million deal with right-handed starting pitcher Tyler Mahle, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Mahle is expected to miss part of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May. The 29 year old had a 3.16 ERA over five starts with the Twins in 2023 before injuring his elbow during his start on April 27.

Mahle, an 8-year veteran, is 33-41 with a 4.30 ERA in 125 appearances (122 starts).
