Craig Counsell stunned the Milwaukee Brewers and Major League Baseball when he agreed to become the next manager of the Chicago Cubs this week.

His decision to leave Milwaukee, a team that won the central division in 2023, could lead Brewers ownership to sell some of their key pieces this winter.

According to Ken Rosenthal, the Brewers are willing to trade any of their veterans on the roster. Some notable names include former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes, two-time All-Stars Brandon Woodruff and Christian Yelich, Willy Adames, and dominant closer Devin Williams.

Williams was lights out for the Brew Crew in 2023, converting 36 of 40 save opportunities. The right-hander had a 1.53 ERA and a whopping 87 strikeouts in 58.2 innings pitched. In five seasons, Williams has a 1.53 career ERA.

Williams, 29, is arbitration eligible and under club control for the next two seasons.

It's no secret that the Rangers will be looking to upgrade their bullpen this winter, and Williams is a name that caught the attention of the K&C Masterpiece.

What would it take to trade for him? Listen to the discussion in the podcast above.
