The Texas Rangers will be playing October baseball for the first time since 2016.
Texas beat the Mariners 6-1 on Saturday night in Seattle to clinch a playoff berth. The magic number to clinch the AL West title is down to 1 after Houston beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 1-0.
The results from Saturday night's games mean that all of the playoff spots in the American League have been sewn up, as Houston and the Toronto Blue Jays also clinched playoff berths on Saturday.
The Rangers will win the division if they beat Seattle or Houston loses to Arizona on Sunday afternoon. By winning the division, Texas would get a bye straight past the wild card round and into the ALDS.
The Rangers season finale can be heard starting at 1:30p CT on Sunday on 1080 KRLD.
