DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Vanderbilt's stud pitchers are continuing to dominate in the early stages of the college baseball season, and that's exactly what you want to hear if you are a fan of the Rangers, who own the second overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Through 15 innings of work, Kumar Rocker is 3-0 with a .60 ERA, while striking out 25 and walking seven.
Meanwhile, Jack Leiter is 3-0 and also sports a .60 ERA. He's struck out 26 and walked seven in 15 innings.
"Vanderbilt guys are not disappointing," Mike Bacsik said Monday on the K&C Masterpiece. "For Rangers fans, here's the great news - you should get an unbelievable pick (at No. 2). The prospect will not be the issue. The issue will be - can you develop the prospect?"
Bacsik also weighed in on which pitcher he'd want the Rangers to end up with based on their past failures with developing starting pitchers. Listen to the audio below.
