Every Friday night at 10, host Amber Star takes us on a musical journey into the past. This week we're jumping back to 2006, when George W. Bush was president and no one had the faintest inkling that our economy was going face a big crisis in a couple of years' time.
This was the year that Twitter was created, and Google bought youtube. It's also the year that the Ask Jeeves search engine changed its name to Ask.
Big movies in 2006 included Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest, Little Miss Sunshine, and BORAT. New on TV--the comedies Big Bang Theory and 30 Rock, and the serial killer show Dexter.
What songs were we listening to on our iPods in 2006? Tune in Friday to find out!
The Friday Night Flashback is sponsored by Funk's Pub in Fitchburg. Feel the vibe.
