This week we're going back to 1972 for the Friday Night Flashback with Amber Star.
What was going on back then? Fashions ranged from fringed vests to polyester pantsuits. The Watergate break-in happened, but we wouldn't find out the whole story for a while. It all led to the resignation of Richard Nixon in 1974.
On TV, Archie Bunker was misusing the English language and bringing previously taboo issues to light on All In The Family. M*A*S*H, the Bob Newhart Show and The Waltons were all brand new.
Top movies included The Godfather, Deliverance, and Jeremiah Johnson.
One of the best selling books was about a bird aiming for self-improvement--Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
What music was popular in 1972? Tune in Friday night at 10 to find out. Thanks to Funk's Pub in Fitchburg. Feel the vibe.
