A familiar face is waiting for the Ravens ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Rams.
Safety Eric Weddle signed a two-year, $10.5 million contract this offseason to join the Los Angeles Rams. Weddle had spent the previous three seasons with Baltimore, in which he earned three Pro Bowl visits.
As the Ravens gear up for an uncommon matchup with the Rams, Weddle was asked whether or not he would share inside information about his former team with his new Rams teammates.
"I could tell them a lot of stuff, but that's just not who I am," said Weddle. "So we're going to play it on the field, and the best team is going to win."
Weddle went on to praise how the Ravens treated his family and helped preserve the 34-year old’s career.
"I have a lot of respect for that place... it's a very tight-knit group, and what would I be -- what kind of man would I be if I just turned my back on all of them?"
The Rams will certainly have a tough time preparing for the Ravens offense. Baltimore ranks #1 in the NFL in scoring, rushing yards, and time of possession.
