More than a month ago, the Ravens were in desperate need to rejuvenate an injury-plagued secondary. They made a decision, to add cornerback Marcus Peters, which has already paid dividends.
The Ravens acquired Peters from the Rams, who they play this Monday, in exchange for linebacker Kenny Young and a fifth-round pick.
Peters, 26, made his first impression by intercepting quarterback Russell Wilson and returning it for a touchdown. The interception was Wilson’s first on the season yet Peters made it count en route to a 30-16 victory.
Peters has played in four games with the Ravens, recording eight tackles and two pick-six’s. His second interception came two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals. Peters picked off quarterback Ryan Finley and returned it for an incredible 89 yards.
Peters was asked whether the trade from the Rams added additional fuel to the fire before their reunion this Monday.

November 21, 2019 Peters’ clear focus is to keep his mind on business with his new Ravens teammates.
Fellow cornerback Marlon Humphrey talked about Peters’ impact since joining the team and how close the secondary unit has become.
Humphrey also said that Marcus Peters has done a lot for team chemistry. Not long after he was acquired, Peters suggested all the DBs got together for a team dinner. Peters footed the bill. Now, the DBs get together for dinner regularly.

November 21, 2019 Peters played 22 games with the Rams before the trade, starting in the Super Bowl LIII 13-3 loss to New England.
With former Ravens safety Eric Weddle on the opposing side, both defenses will have a player who is familiar with the opposing offense. For Peters, facing the Rams is just business. Nothing more.
